Onto the news....

More editorial shuffles at CMP - Dave Bursky laid off after less than 8 months

Dave Bursky, the semiconductor editor for EE Times, left the publication on October 16 after joining the organization just seven and a half months previously. The departure is due to an internal restructuring and a staff reduction in the CMP publication. Prior to joining EE Times, Dave had worked at Penton Media’s Electronic Design Magazine for over three decades in positions ranging from associate editor to editor-in-chief to editor-at-large. Paul Miller, Senior VP at CMP’s Media Electronics and SDMG Groups told us, “As we welcome EE Times Europe to the EE Times global family (along with seven editors) we have made some adjustments to the team with Dave Bursky an unfortunate casualty.” In further editorial shuffles Richard Nass has moved from Mobile Handset DesignLine to become editor-in-chief of Embedded Systems Design and editorial director of embedded.com and the Embedded Systems Conferences. Rob Keenan is standing in for him in the Mobile Handset DesignLine role until a permanent replacement can be found.
